How do I get rid of tabbed browsing in FF?

I don't use it - all it does is take up more space on my screen.

Then I have to go back and "clear from bar" -

I just want to be rid of it - but how?
I don't have the "always show the tab bar" selected in tools

Thanks!

How about don't use it?

Don't open things in new tabs, uncheck all options to open new links, etc in new tabs, and use ctrl-n instead of ctrl-t when opening a blank?

Or.. you could use IE6

That's what I'm asking - how to stop it.
I've unchecked everything I can find about it -
so where do I all look?

And I do have that first button (open new window) checked

And don't even MENTION ie!
