VGA/USB Issues

New Build - all done ane running.

Mobo is the new Abit A9 QuadGT

Now sometimes the vga out signal would not go beyond DOS. So I would see the mobo boot screen - then no signal would come on the monitor while Vista continued to load.

Sometimes it would display windows, sometimes not - depending on how I was playing with peripherals etc.

Have now craked whats doing this (but not why). It would do this if I say have too many USB drives active. My modem and mouse are USB and these are fine. But if I try to boot with a USB key in the drive or my external hard disk turned on, the display wont go beyond DOS

Once windows is loaded I can plug in what I like

Have tried installing all the latest Mobo software and the Bios is up to date. Are there such things as USB drivers and where do I find them? (my mobos download page is at http://tinyurl.com/2ekl92)

Any ideas?

Are you sure the Vista actually loads while there is no display?

Could it be that your computer is actually trying to boot from USB storage and fails? Look over the boot order in your BIOS settings?
