Stock fan unplugged on mobo

Hello Peeps ... Just Wondering I Recently Bought New Pc And After Opening It Up Was Wondering Why The System Fan Located At The Back Of The Tower Was Unplugged Off The Motherboard .....i Have Got A Arctic Cooler On The Cpu But Was Wondering If There Is Any Reason For Manafacturers Leaving This Off........are They Just Being Bone Idle The Motherboard Is Gigabyte Ga 945gzm Sd Rev 2.1 With A Pentium D Processor Any Help With This Will Be Praised.............

It may be that it is not needed, or that the power supply performance is limited when it is on... usually no reason, unless somebody forgot... but sometimes they don't want you complaining about the extra noise... so you make the decision based on need.
