Logitech LX7 not working

Hey all.
I bought a Logitech LX7 Mouse off of ebay.

I have installed the drivers for it as well as Logitech setpoint.
Setpoint recognises the mouse as well as windows.
However when i move the mouse, it doesnt move on the screen. I know that the mouse laser is working because the Invisible Optic light turns off when the mouse is moved.

Could this b a fault in the mouse or connector?
Or should i return this mouse?

check the wires coming from the mouse. Ebay e-scammers frequently sell mice with bad cords.

OH soz i didnt mention... The mouse is a cordless mouse...

Ive worked more out now. It seems that the mouse does not connect with the reciever! The mouse does not move on the screen. I have pressed the reset button many times 2 try 2 connect them... but it still doesnt work.

Transmitter location

Where is your transmitter ?

Don't put it near the Power Supply or the monitor.

Is it a rechageable ? I have the MX 1000 Cordless Laser and recharge it overnight,every night.
I did not install the drivers or anything else.
I just plugged it into the (PS2) connection.USB can be a problem.
So use the converter as probably explained in the manual.
USB is for Mac's as mine stated,anyway.
Windows has the drivers.I do without the options.
