HELP! - uninstalled sound device, cannot find a new one

Hi all
I accidently uninstalled a sound device on my computer just before, using the Add/Remove Programs program. Now I am not getting any sound what so ever. Is there anyway to re-install it with a download or anything. I am unsure to what the device whas called. I don't remember having to use a CD to install it either.

You can either reinstall the driver or if you have XP, try System Restore first.

if it was onboard sound, you will need the drivers from your motherboard CD

If you don't have the CD that came with your motherboard you can download them from the manufactures website.
