internet explorer crashing with error message

my internet exp keeps crashing, when ever i right click on it or use delete and backspace button, is it a virus, can somebody help

Update to IE7... I bet you haven't used Windows Update in a while. Go to Tools, Windows Update and follow the on-screen instructions
