My Computer is slowing down lately and I was wondering does it have anything to do with the following programs: user32.dll, shell32.dll, and ntoskrnl.exe. This was what the anti-virus program from AVG pickup. Thank you for you help.

The files you mentioned are legitimate files, when located at the proper place; however, malware could give its files those names and just run them from a different location. So your problem could be malware-related.

Please go and read this and then post a fresh HijackThis log as an attachment into this thread. Then we can see what's causing the problem so it can be removed.

Regards :)

Hi,

It appears that your log is clean except for these 3 entries (please fix them in HijackThis if it is not your ISP domain)
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0639BB28-CDA0-4410-972B-20024660723A}: NameServer = 24.144.0.4,24.144.0.222

Is your system still running slowly?
May I suggest that you check out this thread and see if it helps.

To be sure that this is not malware related, please post an AVG Antispyware and ComboFix log as attachments. Links can be found in my signature.
