gameing laptop

has anyone ever seen a laptop that can do games like battlefied2 that is under $1000 (and not skip, exit out of the game, and will last a long time)

just wondering...:-/

your best bet is to look at rock laptops, they are pretty good laptops

you can go look at Asus laptops, they are all geared towards gaming and come with an extended warranty

my mobility 9700 which was designed 3 years ago went well with battlefield2

so my opinion says that u could obtain a decent laptop under 1000US$ but must have at least ati mobility 1600 or nvidia go 7600, and 1gb of ram (2gb would be lot better).

you might be able to get a cheap alienware, or an acer.

'Cheap' and 'Alienware' does not go in the same sentence, they are sooooo overpriced

it is possible to get an alienware laptop for under a grand but the graphics card is a bit weak... ATI Mobility X1400 128mb.
