New Soundcard, Same problems.

I got a new sound card today, hoping that it would end my problems.

my problems are; my computer records my audio, even if a microphone is not plugged in.

If anyone has a fix for this, please let me know.

Sounds like software issues? What OS and what type of software are you using with the Sound Card?

windows xp media edition.

real teck high definition audio driver.

pci audi driver is what came with the new one.

should i delete the real teck one?

I'm a complete noob when it comes to computer tech.

I also have Legacy audio dirvers as well, do i remove these?

i went to controle panel to remove realtek hd audio but i got an error "realtek hd audio driver remove failure!"

New Soundcard, Same problems.
