Problem with hosting PC games! Help!

Hello,

the past few weeks i've been trying to host games so me and my friend can have 1 on 1

I've tried hosting HaloCE games also Soldat games. But for some reason when he connect it uses my INTERNAL IP (10.1.1.x) instead of my external IP and he cannot connect.

My modem is a D-Link 302G. I've tried asking my ISP, they dont know how too fix it.

I've tried giving him my external IP even though the server is using my INternal but it doesnt connect.

How can I fix this does any one know?

Thanks!
