Call of Duty 2 freezes

I just recently built up a computer from parts given to me by a friend.Everything is loaded and works perfectly fine...minus my initial troubles with the SATA hard drive. When I first load up Call of Duty 2 I can play for about 5 min. then my system freezes and restarts itself. After the restart the game works fine until I have a headache from playing too long

Comp Specs:

AMD athalon 64 3200+,MMX,3d Now, 2.0 Ghz

Abit Ul8 mb

2 gigs corsair RAM

400 watt PSU

6600 GT OC GPU (84.21 driver)

160 gig seagate hard drive, and 250 gig lacie porche external

Soundblaster AudiologySE audio card. (newest Driver)

Hard Drive temp monitor and internal case monitor, with a didital readout shows on avg. 30 C, temp shouldnt be an issue as I have ample fans running, however I have noticed the video card getting up to around 60 C when the gaming gets intense and for prolonged periods. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks

If you haven't already, try installing all game patches and see if that helps.

I was talking about game patches rather than drivers.
