currently no free soultions, only is to prove your ownership to dell.
But quick searching on the net, give me a some ways to get the master password. From $5 to $50 on ebay, it show the weak security of DELL's bios due to a some different persons already have a password generator. Hopefully only me have such generator also for hdd so far to prevent cheap and fast discover of business and private secrets

not sure abour this. i tried to reflash the bios chip with the bios without password. still doesn't work. the algorithm, i suspect, stored in the KBC flash.

i don't think the Master password erases the hdd password. hdd pass coded by the ATA standarts and protocols and this action aren't connected with certain types of notebooks. the only thing that's changed - is the HDD Master pass, so you can't erase it with the standart ATA command erase on. but also there's another method to unlock the HDD and this methode connected with HDD service area modules editing

why do you need a service tag password if you have the PW Generator. you are charging 50euro for the passwords [COLOR="Red"]link removed[/COLOR]for yourself. rustam_ should not do it in my opinion. but of course its up to HIM not to ME

"oldmaster" d620 is 595b based service tag ,and don't have classic eeprom ATMEL 24cxxxx,......shorting method not work and may destroy ur motherboard!!!.

me too i can give free solutions in other laptop probs.and i did it all the time.
