Windows Explorer Problem (Loads Windows Installer)
I have recently gone through a lot of drama upgrading to Adobe CS3, in the process of which I had to install reinstall the CS3 many times, edit the registry and occasionally had to use restore point. Eventually it all loaded, but now when I open Windows Explorer or Control Panel I get the Windows Installer window for a minute or so and then either another windows installer window or finally Explorer or Control Panel.
Apparently, I hosed something up during my Adobe drama, though I have no clue what. This is not a fatal flaw, but is pretty darned irritating. So far the only suggestion I have received is to wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows. I really (really!) don't want to do this. Any suggestions you care to make will be very gratefully received. (If it is helpful, I am running Windows XPPro on a Boxxtech 2304) Thanks, Kieron |
