Sorry for the very basic question but I'm looking for a very quick answer.

Do I need L2TP, PPTP and IPSec passthrough set on my home router?

My home router is connected to a cable modem and it routes a few computers on my home LAN, some running Windows and some running Linux.

I mainly use the connection to browse the Internet and check e-mail. I don't play on-line games (actually not a gamer at all, hehe) and I don't connect (for now) to any VPN network.

For a while I set one Windows machine on my LAN with Azureus BitTorrent to download Linux installs but then I got another Windows machine on the network attacked by a virus so now that I have finally installed a new router and reinstalled the operating system I'm paranoid about being attacked again - therefore I wonder...

do I need to leave the L2TP, PPTP and IPSec passthrough set on my home router? - the default value is set for the 3 of them.

Thanks

p.s. just looking for quick answers.

No, these are all VPN-related and you do not want them.
You can always turn them back on too when needed :)
