inspiron 700m speakers stop working
so everything is going along fine, and my daughter comes up to tell me that the laptop won't play audio anymore. and she's right. the headphones work, but I can't get the speakers to play. I have unmuted it every which way I can think of. it wasn't muted in the first place. but nothing I do seems to work. any ideas? thx

The odd thing is, the power on and off tones work when I boot up and down. And the headphones work. But if I try to play a song in iTunes, no dice. No other sounds will come out. Very odd....

Hey Jeff - Check out this link.. It seems to be a very common issue with these laptops.. if you are still under warranty you are ok.. if not it could be a little expensive to fix. http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?...False&~ck=asrc
