How long before bump
How long should I wait for a response before I bump my thread in the Windows OS forum? I don't want to be impolite, and I know the experts try to get to the older threads first, but I have seen some threads that are weeks old with no reply and I don't want to fall into that. What is the protocol?

If you look at how busy this place is, it is very possible that your post could be missed by someone that could answer it and be on page 2 or 3 very quickly.
The paging is less important than the date - if after 2 days no reply I don't think 1 bump would hurt. ![]() |

Thanks CCT. It had been 3 days, but someone just submitted a response. You.

Yes, unfortunately some people's questions get lost in translation around here. It's hard to answer them all, especially being a free volunteer community. Like CCT said, if after a few days you don't get a response, try adding more information and bump the thread.
