Please help with hard drive data recovery
Hello everyone!
My brother accidentally hit his LENOVO laptop and it won't boot anymore with "unmountable_boot_volume" error showing. I have tried connecting the damaged harddrive to my computer using 2.5'' enclosure for SATA harddrives. My computer was able to see the hard drive but wouldn't let open it, saying there was an input/output error. I have also tried using chkdsk, but not to avail - chkdsk said it cannot get direct access to the drive. Is there anything I can do myself besides taking the drive to a data recovery service? |

EDIT: Unfortunately, my hard drive is not accessible, and this guide doesn't help much. Any suggestions? Last edited by M0ntG0M3rY; 08-03-2007 at 08:05 PM.. |
