no sound
my son downloaded a sound driver on his computer and now it wont even boot up /any ideas? thanks

Have you tried booting into safe mode?

If you can, then uninstall whatever sound driver your son downloaded and reboot back into normal mode. If everything is ok, download and install the correct sound driver.
