Keep geting out of frequency range during gaming

Ok well i just upgraded my onbored videocard to an ATI RADEON X1050.
I have tried ever thing on the ati website but still when im playing games

(counter strike, world of warcraft,etc) sometimes i can play for two hours
stright sometimes only 15 min before my screen goes black and a square

image in the middle of the screen appers saying out of frequency range
please set resolution lower then i have to manually shut of my computer. I need some help its really starting to kill me

this only happens durings gameing when im just online or doing any thing else this does not occur

here is a list of every thing ive tried so far
1.upgrade system drivers
2.upgrade ati drivers

3.upgrade system bios(after i upgraded the system bios it will star saying out of frequency range before that the screen will just go black with out any message

4.tried running it with 1 ram stick then two
5.ran computer on 60hz
6.changed agp speed 4x 8x

but im not sure if that is the same problem im haveing any help you guys can give me will sure be helpfull

I can only tell you what happened to me. My ATI Radeon x1600 pro of one and 1/2 years died. It might be your card is, too. Maybe it's over-heating.

You're lucky. You have time to solve it. Mine just went dead when it lost frequency. :blackeye:
 
that is not the same problem, and to get a response u should post the specs of your computer as no is a mind reader.
 
AMD athlon xp 3200
2.2 ghz
1.5 gb of ram pc 2700
250 watts power supply(i think this might be the problem not sure how i can tell)
ATI RADEONX1050 AGP 8X
WINDOWS XP

take that back and get a good brand 400 wat. do a Google search for this PSU and u will have a good one
