Also what do you mean by that condor? Which games contain keyloggers?

Plus... I don't think Keyloggers would affect much of the gaming community unless they actually type in their Steam passwords everytime they log in

Galactic Civilizations 2 had good system where you didn't need CD-Key to play, but if you bought legally you got a serial number which would allow you to get updates. Proper updates as well, like mini-expansion packs.

The number is checked in a register to ensure its the only one, so pirates can't access the updates.
Thats how things should work

hey i have a question. a friend of mine is playing bioshock on his computer, and right in the middle, the game crashes to the desktop.

his specs are a brisbane 5000+ amd dual core, 2 gigs of memory, geforce dual 7600 256 mb running in sli, and a 600 watt power supply.

at this point, neither of us are sure what is causing the crash. he tried getting a driver fix for his graphics cards, and that hasn't solved anything. and he made doubly sure he wasn't playing it in dx10 mode. he's using dx9. it turns out that hundreds of other people are getting the same problem. any ideas for what i can tell him to try?

And of course online multiplayer games don't need this - as far as I can tell, Guild Wars, EverQuest II and World of Warcraft don't check for any discs, for example.
True, even though I have dial-up, I purchased Guild Wars... My mistake... Anyhow, when I run it, it never asks for my cd, it just connects to ArenaNet
