Best Linux LiveCd recovery for xp

Hi,

Windows how it can be crashed on me so i had to reformat and go through the pain of reinstalling everything etc..

Googling around ive been reading that linux (live cd/dvd version) can be used to recover files on xp, plus be able to restore windows in some cases so im asking here what linux would be best for that.

features that would be preferable is able to read/write to ntfs, support to open usb thumbdrives to put the files on to etc.., networking so i could connect to the unbootable windows drive, some form of desktop where can use mouse and keyboard.

does anyone know of suitable live linux for me, thanks for any help.

Virtually any one of them will do what you asked for here.

Knoppix is by far the most advanced and used CD Linux version out there.
