USB flash drive doesn't work in linux after format

Hello. I formatted my USB flash drive in win xp and now eahc time I connect it raises a warning: "The USB device can run faster if you connect it to a usb concentrer". Before format this message don't appear. The USB anyway works in win XP but doesn't work in Linux, an before the format it does.
My usb is a GeeDom 512 Mb. Somebody knows how to solve this problem? I need mi USB because I pass data beetween PC's with Linux and Windows.

reformat as FAT32 which is accepted by ALL platforms.

I do that

I formatted my usb with windows and select FAT32 like FileSystem, after do this Linux don't recognize the device and Win XP mount it but raise warnings about the velocity of the usb concentrer.

I do a low level format and format it with FAT first and FAT32 after and obtain the results earlier mentionated.

it's all in the mount command or the fstab entry as you need to tell it the filesystem type, eg:

mount $options $dev $mnt-point

-t vfat -o rw,noauto,user /dev/xxx /usb

Linux fail to recognize

The problem is that when Linux try try to recognize the device fails. The tail obtained from dmesg is:

Like we can see, Linux try a lot of time to assign a device and fail. Like There are not any /dev/sdb (for example) for my usb then we can't format or mount it.
