Advent 8117 noise

Hi, I would appreciate any help with my query. I have just bought an ADVENT 8117 laptop and it is making a constant crackling noise when on. Is this normal, i never noticed it on my old laptop. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

The solutions I`ve seen include getting the latest audio driver;

probably from HERE if it`s a Realtek/Azalia

and going into the the Sound card settings panel and making sure there are

no special effects enabled (party,big hall etc.)

Thanks to Blamecanada for your help, will try your recommendation and if it doesn't work, will take it back to shop.
