For WOW, this config is more than enough ...
The rest depends on what is the $ limit on "mid priced"... for a little extra I would go with for eg.:
Graphics based on "8800 GTS 320MB"
Motherboard "ASUS M2N-E AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP"... or "GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-S4 AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP "
RAM: OCZ Platinum 4GB(4 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
HDD: I would suggest more than 160GB SATA2
about the OS i would recomend XP not Vista especially if it is your first build... i find it the least problematic between the 2 for now...

cheers

well mid priced is no more than 800 dollars and here are my pric figs from newegg

MB GIGABYTE GA-MA69GM-S2H 690G RTL - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$79.99)
CPU AMD|A64 X2 6000 3.0G AM2 2x1M R - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$164.99)
VGA EVGA 256-P2-N761-AR8600GTS 256M - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$159.99)
PSU ROSEWILL|RP600V2-S-SL 600W RT - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$64.99)
MEM 1Gx4|A-DATA ADQVE1A16K R - Retail (Qty=2, Price=$137.98)
HD 160G|WD 7K 8M SATA2 WD1600AAJS % - OEM (Qty=1, Price=$49.99)

As far as the OS goes i wanna use 64bit so im kinda limited to vista

Oh and i dont plan on ever utilizing SLI its just everything comes with it nowadays
