Firefox help

I have always used IE as my browser, but I decided to try Firefox 2.0.
I use a dial-up connection to access internet on Win XP SP2.
The problem is that every page I try to open in Firefox a Unable to Connect message appears.
I can still surf through IE without problems.
What should I do to fix this problem?

Howdy,

Go into your firewall program control and allow Firefox.

Also,if your on dial up,download Firetune

That will squeeze the best out of your connection.
