Help connecting laptop to TV!

I have an Acer 4002WLMi laptop / ATI Mobility Radeon 9700/64 MB. I just tried connecting my computer to my tv, using a cable which goes into the S-Video In on the Elix 3-way Scart box, but can't seem to get any image on my tv...

Could anyone help me out please?

managed to get the desktop to show up on my tv after all but now it's all black and white???
