Free Driver updates are available at the hardware's website.
eg : ATI for video card,Creative Labs for sound cards. asus for bios update. |

Some motherboards have utility programs which you can download and install (for free) from their manufacturer's websites. These utility programs can facilitate finding, downloading and installing any updates to BIOS or drivers. MSI, for example, has what they call a Live Update utility.
