heres what i did and i sh** you not it works on a D620 even :go to the dell websight download the service manual for your model this will tell you exact location of buttoncell battery ...take it out for a few minutes then put it back and blammo your boot order options will be back regardless of setup password.then you can run dst from the cd and voala do put the same svctag back in i dont know why it just seems like the right thing ,anyways there you go nomore bios password!

Didn't work
I took off the battery, as you say, for almost two hours, put back in its place again and turn on the laptop.
Is the same thing, I can't get into the bios and change it. I'm going on searching to find the solution. Thanks anyway |
