Dvd Drive Cannot Play Dvd's Burnt By Sony Dvd Recorder

Hello folks,

I have sony dvd stand alone recorder and I also have a problem. My pc dvd drive cannot recognize dvd's burnt by sony and if it can then there is no software which can play dvd.
 
What? You must be as confused as I am...

Windows Media Player 11 can play DVD's. Didn't your Sony come with software? What program are you using to burn DVD's? What make is your PC's DVD drive?
