When you are finished with the malware checks, there are several programs/processes starting up and running in the background that do not need to start on boot and don't need to run in the background. This also affects system performance and can slow it down.

Please post back when finished if you want help with this.

I did a Spybot scan and did not find much. Thanks for your help in advance.

I don`t know why you found it necessary to open a new thread, but I have merged it into this one.
