BSOD minidumps - They seem all over the place.
Hi everyone, After such good responses from last time I thought Id come here for help once again.
Starting from last night I've been getting bsod's crashing etc. I cannot pinpoint anything specifically it all seems to random. Ive checked all my temps n fan speeds etc for overheating. Temps are normal 30c and under and fans are going well. Ive changed the setting in my computer properties to not automatically reboot after system failure to see if i get a better explanation of what's causing it. 0x1000000a (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x805219c4). 0x1000000a (0x0000002d, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804e6cbd) 0x100000d1 (0x0000000c, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xb9d89f27). 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xbfb66700, 0xb3a10981, 0x00000000) Current System specs: Mb: Asus P5N32-e-sli Cpu: Intel Core 2 EDuo E6850 , 3.00 GHz Memory:4gig Corsair 6400C4 Graphics: XFX 8800gtx Hdd: 2x 500gig WD sata, 1x 160gig Seagate sata. OS: Windows XP Pro PSU: 850watt Thermaltake Thanks again guys. Any help is appreciated. Update: I just did 10 passes of memtest86 and I got no errors whatsoever. I have also defragged and air compressed my computer no longer than 2 weeks ago. Only thing that i can think of which may have caused this issue is that i have installed a card reader bout a week ago. It is powered by usb (internal). Ever since i installed it my printer no longer works it says that the device has malfunctioned (also usb connected). So was thinking perhaps the card or software is at fault. Perhaps surging/overloading the usb hub. Other than that just a couple of software installs/uninstalls. Azureus, Nvidia Network access manager, Call of duty4. Thanks again guys for your help. First minidump points to nv4_disp.dll which is an Nvidia video driver.
The second points to ntkrampt.exe. The third points to VIDEOPRT.SYS which is a port driver for Windows. The fouth pointsts to Memory Corruption. * Memtest is not perfect, a great tool but not perfect. I suggest testing each individual stick. * Also, you may want to uninstall your card reader and see if that helps. |

What voltage are you running the RAM at?

Its currently running at 1.90v with higher latency timings. Gonna try 2.1v and the 4-4-4-12 timings.

I did a memtest on each individual memory stick and got no errors on any of them. However I managed to stuff my c:windows drive lol.... So looks like ill be reformatting... Guess thats another way to fix a problem :/....

Did adjusting the voltage and timings not work? When RAM is pushed too far it will cause issues.

question:
How do you adjust the voltage? and timing? O.o |

My ram was actually on lower settings than what it is capable of. Since my reformat and the ram at 2.1v 4-4-4-12 everything seems to be fine. Ive also disconnected the card-reader. "xmindragerx" You change your memory voltage and timings in your bios. My Corsair ram is recommended at 4-4-4-12 2.1v (CAS-tTCD-tRD-tRAS)
Thanks for your help I'll keep you posted if anything else happens. |
