Remove shortcuts from "my computer"

hi. i have installed two updated programs for nokia pc suite, and creative zen micro. after the installations it added a new shortcut for the updated program but it did not remove the old one. is there a way i can delete or choose not to display it, without having to uninstall the programs? i want to remove the old shorcuts from displaying. heres a screenshot i took right after i click on "my computer". this is windows xp btw. any help is apreciated. thanks in advance.

try ccleaner. Otherwise you can try uninstalling all of it, then just reinstalling just the new ones.

after uninstalling them it still didnt work. it just shows like an empty folder icon now.... whats cclean? thanks.

CCleaner is a program that can clean unneeded entries in your registry

your pc still thinks that these locations are here so run the registry scan in CCleaner (google for it) and it should get rid of them

Delete them

Shortcuts can be deleted or dragged to the Recycle Bin.
Ignore the warning if it's described as a shortcut.
But i don't see 2 copies of anything.
The second 1 is usually named with a 2 at the end of it's name.
You can't have 2 files or folders with the same name.
