64 bit question

I have a AMD 64 X2 4800+ pc and i have windows vista home premium installed 32-Bit edition installed and 3 gigs of memory..

I just want to know if I install a 64-bit version of windows vista will I see a big performance increase? also will i see a difference in gaming performance ?

You might see some better performance with games that use up a lot of memory (Crysis comes to mind) but for everything else it should be more or less the same.

ps. Windows Vista X64 is supposed to be more secure.
