We ll I tried out MemTest using a bootable CD, and it didn't go how I expected it to. Most people say they let it run for hours. Mine just showed the MemTest screen for about 30 seconds, then the top half disappeared and left just the bottom. It was just the bottom of my screen in blue. Here's some information I recorded:
