Laptop randomly shuts off

hey guys
i have an hp compaq presario m2000
its just about 2 years old
anyway, one day it just shut off all together while i was on it, i took the battery out and put it back in a couple times, then it finally came on again.
after that it kept shutting off on me and now it is able to stay on for less and less time each time i get it running.
it was able to stay on for about 3 hours, and now its only about 15 minutes.
it will also turn off if i move it in any way.
right now i cant get it to turn on at all.
i thought maybe it was just time for a new battery, so i bought one but still no luck.
anyone have any idea what could be going on?????

You might check or reset the power settings. Does the new battery charge normally? Are the charging LED's normal?

read the "My laptop doesn't power on guide" in the guides forum. You need to replace your battery.

deathbatgrl, put off the battery, connect the charger to laptop and press the power button. if it won't turn on, this is a hardware problem.
