I have kodak v803 camera,and it suddenly stopped working on the pc after some windows updates....

i called kodak and we went thru every step possible,and they told me there was something wrong with my computer detecting my camera and that I need to contact computer support for that.

I uninstalled reinstalled...all that stuff...

when i turn on the camera with it plugged in,it tries installing the drivers under portable devices and it always fails to install.

I went over to another computer with XP and it worked perfectly....but why not on VISTA anymore? it worked for 2 months on vista and now not anymore.

It has nothing to do with the camera software,vista will detect the device but not install it.....

Ive tried just about everything,switching ports,uninstalling possible inflicting programs,turning off windows defender....wont install......


i even uninstall the "digital still camera" that comes up in device manager with the yellow exclamation point when i connect my camera....and still doesnt install properly.

the camera firmware and camera software are all up to date...

need help...im thinking about just downgrading to xp cuz of all these issues
