Random google searches?
I've recently been finding that, whilst I am searching the web, I happen to click on a link which seems to be quite mundane and a google search appears.
Does anyone know how this happens... and what can I do to avoid it (it's getting quite frustrating). The same thing seems to happen when I click on some of my emails too - a seemingly innocent link opens up a random google search. Is this spyware, a trojan, a worm???? Please help! Steve |

Hello and welcome to TechSpot.
I've never heard anything like the issue you described. Let's check your computer for malware. Please go and read the Viruses/spyware/malware preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly. Post fresh HijackThis, ComboFix, and AVG Anti-Spyware logs as attachments, only after doing the above. Please post the results of the Panda Anti-rootkit scan as well. Regards ![]() This thread is for the use of 76348143 only. Please don't post your own virus/spyware problems in this thread. Instead, open a new thread in our Security and the Web forum. |
