Security Center could not turn on firewall

I don't know what happened but when I try to turn on Windows firewall...I can't!

I can't highlight the circle to turn it on.

What can I do?
 
this usually occurs when there are multiple AV/Firewall products installed.

please post back the AV products you have ....
 
This could also occur when your system is infected, I suggest you post a HighJackThis log to other experts to check.
 
Your pc is infected and you don't even have any antivirus software running.

You need to follow the instructions below then post your logs in the Security and the Web forum, not here.


You need to have a read of this - If your system is infected. Read this before deciding whether to CLEAN or REFORMAT.

Then if you should wish to proceed with cleaning your system you need to go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, Combofix, and AVG Antispyware logs as ATTACHMENTS into a new thread in the Security and the Web forum, only after doing the above.
We also need to know the result of Panda Antirootkit.
