Game running slow

i just downloaded second life on my computer, and it was already running a little slow. so i turned all of the details ect down as low as i could and still its slow.
i remembered with my old computer i had to update my video card to play a game, and i was wondering how/if i could do that with the computer i had now.
even besides that, i was just wondering if theres anything i can do to help it run faster, any help would be appreciated.

Do you have SP3 installed (This is not released as yet for Xp)

Do you happen to know how much Ram you have
I think the SP3 Trial (if installed) is causing memory issues - or lack of

Right click on My Computer (inside the Start Menu)
Select Properties
Xp SP ?
Ram ?

Due to slowness of your computer 1.6Ghz
It is Not worth it

You need to update your system in Full (Refurbished if you can't afford new)

Minimum
2.8 Ghz
1Gig of Ram
Windows Xp (I still prefer Xp)
PCI-E 512 Meg video Card
~200 Gig Sata HardDrive
DVD R/W

Ask around or Search on Ebay

Otherwise you cannot run these Games
