BSOD with error code - 0x40000080
My comp config is:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ ASUS M2NPV-MX Motherboard 2 * 512 MB RAM (local make) Windows XP pro with SP2 My problem is that the the BSOD appears randomly and not when i'm working on any specific application. It even occurs when i'm not in front of the computer. Under the "Technical information" of the BSOD i found these numbers in various instances: 0x40000080 (0x85578130,0x8555D5D0,0x85578EB4,0x00000002) 0x40000080 (0x8541E130,0X85403440,0X8541EEB4,0x00000002) 0x40000080 (0x8557C130,0x85561378,0x8557CEB4,0x00000002) I've tried re-installing the OS but to no avail. I get the problem even before installing any software. In fact i got it twice while the motherboard drivers were being installed. I've attached the minidumps that have accumulated so far in the fresh installation of the OS. Thanks in Advance. |

All memory dumps point to:
Your nvidia LAN driver Newest driver Here: http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...NPV-VM/RIS.zip Here are the errors Unable to load image NVENETFD.sys, Win32 error 0n2 *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for NVENETFD.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for NVENETFD.sys *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for NVNRM.SYS *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for NVNRM.SYS *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for NVSNPU.SYS *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for NVSNPU.SYS Please update your Network driver |

Thank you very much for your reply kimsland.
This is what i tried: I Went to My computer>System Properties>Device Manager>Network Adapters(and Nvidia Network Bus enumerator)> update driver and asked the Hardware Update wizard to search in the extracted RIS folder. It just said "The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed" How do i go about the issue now? |

I would actually remove the Network device fully from Device Manager and then re-install, pointing to the new network driver
There is one more possibility that can cause this error, and that is your system Ram You may also want to download and run Memtest info Here on download and usuage |
