Windows 2k intenet!

hi,

i have just installed windows 2k on a pc i built to run older games. My problem is that i can't connect to the internet, because my ethernet adapter has a yellow exclamation mark next to it in device manager. I am pretty sure i need a driver for it but i don't have a clue what the model number or brand of it is!!!

any helpful solutions will be appricaited!

Is the ethernet adapter intergated into the motherboard? If yes, then you should get the drivers from your motherboard maker.

no it isn't, the motherboard is a biostar m7vkd. If i could access the internet via this pc i could probably sort out my audio problem as well.

If it's a separete card and you do not have the box or the CD, then the only way is to take the card out of the computer and see what ethernet chip it has on it.

Or, boot a newer OSand see what it says about the ethernet adapter. Any CD-based Linux distro would be good.
