Problem with HP Pavillion zt3000

I read the posting CM Lanman, explaining basicially the very same problem I'm experiencing with HP Pavillion zt3000 laptop. When I boot the computer up, all I get is a black screen, any help out there.

Can you boot all the way into Normal Mode at all (if there's a problem you may have to wait like ten mins) ?

Can you boot into Safe Mode successfully ?

No, I can't do anything. After it boots-up, the screen remains black.

Make sure you have no CDs or Floppy Discs/USB removable devices in your PC at time of boot, if you do then remove them and try again.

If you don't then there's a problem with your boot file, go to :-

And follow instructions for repair.

zt3000 problem with screen

my hp pavillion zt3000 display started flickering and then is gone completely dimM.im currently using it by connecting it to an external monitor, the hp service center in goa India hasent even seen this model...they are asking me to replace the entire screen which costs around 15-20 thousand indian rupees. i need help.the laptop was purchased in germany...ive fidgeted with all the possible video settings but the display is really dim and u cant seea thing on the display...HELPPPP!
