Presumably you paid a garage price too? Why don't you "paper-clip" it instead of winging like a sick child?

I have just asked for some help getting my laptop sorted.
Why dont i just paper clip it, very good idea if you knew wtf you were talking about
Can you paper clip an inspiron 9400 Mave? hmm he knows what he is talking about lmao
Mave reply to somebody else m8 regarding something you know something about, maybe winging children.

Seriously guys
Anybody got something constructive to help me sort this laptop.
And no it wasnt cheap because its a very expensive laptop at moment from Dell so i got £200 of retail

9400 Password

Mave

The "paperclip" procedure does not work on the Core 2 Duo/Dual Core model Dell laptops. So far as I know, the Password Generators for the -595B/-A95B Password Systems are the only way that does work, and all the owners of those charge for their efforts.

Dell Latitude LS400 HD1 Master Password

I hope someone can help me, I have read through all the forums for info on the subject and have tried everything, but still no joy!

I bought the Dell Latitude LS400 a couple of years ago on ebay without a HD, I then installed a 40gb Seagate HD with XP and everything worked fine untill last week. I rebooted the machine and that's when it failed to reboot, instead giving me the blue screen and asking for the "HD1 Password". After 3 failed attempts it asks for the "HD1 Master Password".

I have never set any passwords and why did it work for so long without asking for this info? I tried Dell and they won't help unless I give them the previous owners details, which I don't have anymore. Will I be able to get the info from this HD if I connect to my main PC through an external casing and how would I get past the Admin password?

Dell service tag 5D3B00J-D35B
Express service code 116-755-240-51
Bios version A05
Model number PP01S

I have tried Latitude MasterPW, but the code generated is not accepted.

Any help would be appreciated, I just need to get my info from the HD!
