Still have this Dell 700m with a bios password and I'm almost ready to throw in the towel and pay Dell obscene money to unlock this thing..

DST CD: Since there is a password on the BIOS I am unable to boot from the CD.
Even if I try to press F12 for boot options it starts to go into it and then the little blue password screen appears again..

Does anyone know a key to hold down to make it boot from the CD, say for maintenance reasons? Or for a factory reinstall? Or just anything helpful actually...

I read on seagate site that some drives when they fail/corrupt sometimes think they have a password.
Seagate utils should fix it or RMA it with them.
Just an idea

Do a search on the Dell Latitude D620 on this forum... there are large numbers of posts, but not many of them helpful.
Talk to Dell and verify you are the owner, to seek their help.
This model is particularly difficult, but there may still be a whiz or two reading these related posts.

you can search on ebay it cost you 95$ its the best way when you want a password
otherwise contact dell i dont what dell count to help you.
