the password is mentioned in the forums as many times as the link to the shorting instruction BUT if you want to do that on a d830 - forget it. this method will not work on newer latitude models.
maybe you can tell a little more about why and what you need first?

btw a d830 is pretty new so why don't you call dell and let them help you. help is part of the warranty which this laptop should still have unless it was stolen.

hi all! I HAVE A OMNIBOOK 6000 and cannot get into my bios, my hash code 03053. Can anyone help? I got this laptop from a friend because they could not remember the bios password. Please help i would greatly appreciate it.
