AVG Anit- Spyware, Ad-Aware, or both?

I have AVG Anit-Spyware 7.5
But not Ad-Aware.
Do I need both? I feel like I remember someone saying that I only needed AVG.

No

And actually neither, they usually take up system resource

Use these programs when scanning for Spyware, then I usually remove them. It really depends on your browsing habbits.

Mind you, to fully scan for Spyware and alike, you need lots of programs.
That's why the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions

System specs
Yes, I agree with Kimsland, you don't need both, and don't use them constantly. AVG A-S takes up much of my system resources.

My suggestion is to uninstall the AVG antispyware program and get at least two of the following:

For Spybot S&D: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

For Ad-Aware 2007 free: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

Spyware Blaster:

As good as the AVG anti-virus program is, what I've read doesn't rate their spyware/adware program as well. You should have at least of these types of programs on the system.

Which fully goes against myself and "mopar man", but I suppose that's where personal choice comes in (and browsing habbits)

Ad-aware free is no longer supported. It hasn't been for over a month.

AdAware 2007 has a free version. There is also paid AdAware 2007 Pro and AdAware 2007 Plus.

http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

Please note that I stated AdAware 2007 Free, not just AdAware Free.

As to the choices, yes, as long as we have choices, the world will remain free. When the choices go, most everything else follows closely.
