Which ram for a Dell Dimension 4600

i was wondering if i chould put PC4200 ddr2 ram in a dell dimension 4600 it says on the doc that it takes ddr2


any help whould be nice

I tink you can only put PC3200 ram in it...check Dell's web site.

You can only use the older style DDR1 DDR2 will not work.

yah cinders i think ur right but even my dell said ddr2 ready that was a bunch of ******* it only ran ddr thats it so heckman ur better just using ddr ecxept if u have some ddr2 modules that u can use to test if it works.

System specs
Your board does support dual channel ram configuration though. This can boost your speed if you run identical ram modules.
