Good used laptops for rebuilding?

Hey all,

I just wanted to ask what everyones opinion is on a good used laptop that would be good for rebuilding. I want to buy a used laptop (preferably not working), i just need one with a working mobo, screen, and keyboard. I would like something that can accept a dual core cpu or at least a newer higher end single core. I just need some ideas. Thanks.

Generally, its either extremely difficult if not impossible to custom build a laptop because the components are usually totally integrated or soldered into the motherboard. Most manufacturers customize the laptops internal components to fit inside the case it was designed for...

The most you'll likely be able to do (without a headache or engineering degree) is upgrade the RAM or HDD and you'd probably be able to add/replace the LCD, but that's about it.
