People seem to just post minidumps because they have read about them somewhere. The problem is, not many people here know how to read them or care to even look at them. Most of the time the Event Viewer is going to have enough information to at least get you pointed in the right direction.

Maybe its just me, but I've been using 2000 or XP or Vista since about 2001 and have never once had to look at a minidump over the Event Viewer to figure out what was wrong.
