Overall the Leica M 240 is an inspiring camera to use, from the design of the body to the feel of its controls. With its new sensor and processor it also performs extremely well, and produces images that match the body for quality. Its menu system isn't the slickest though.
The Leica M 240 offers beautiful image quality, with files that are full of detail and flexibility, from a camera that is a pleasure to use. The introduction of modern technology makes all the difference. M9 users might find upgrading to the M 240 a...
In terms of a digital rangefinder there are very few options available, and the Leica M Typ 240 is the only one with live view and an optical viewfinder, giving those that prefer the rangefinder view the option to use that. For those that want to see...
If you'll excuse the use of a car analogy, the Leica M is a bit like a Ferrari. You could use a Ford Fiesta to get from A to B and the end result would be the same. But in a Ferrari the journey is more memorable, more special. The Leica M inspires you...
Shooting with a Leica has never been easier than it is with the M240. Not only is the new sensor a great performer, but features like live view, video, and focus peaking dramatically expand the overall experience. The M is still a tool designed to take...
The good news is that used with the internal optical finder, the M 240 is fast and quiet, much quieter than the clattery M9 ever was, but used with the EVF, the M 240 becomes almost as slow and clumsy as shooting a 4x5" camera because of all the button pushes it always seem to take to turn it on or off (there is no eye control), and like a 4x5, the results are unfortunately so good that we put up with it. New for LEICA, the M 240 with external finder is an ergonomic nightmare, and like 4x5, the results are worth it for nature and landscape...
Let's compare a , and , each with a 35mm f/2 lens. Let's see how well the real-world combinations of lenses and cameras compare. No one ever dares do comparisons...
It's a wonderful camera for those that can afford but it's not the perfect digital rangefinder yet. Still, anyone care to lend us five...
Let's compare a , and , shooting the same thing: a tree. What could be so difficult? 50mm Comparison First let's snap away with a 50mm lens. The was...
In updating the Leica M9 with more current features, one cant help get the feeling that Leica has slightly missed the point with the M Typ 240. Yes, the additions of live view, an EVF and full HD video are welcome (especially for Leica R-mount owners),...
Vu la spécificité de la niche télémétrique, nous ne jugeons pas l'appareil face à la compétition classique des appareils à moins de 2000 €, mais face à la génération précédente. Et force est de constater que le M240 domine le M9 sous tous les...
